There are two types of synchronous belt teeth: trapezoidal teeth and arc teeth.
1. Trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt
Trapezoidal toothed synchronous belt is divided into single-sided toothed belt and double-sided toothed belt, which are referred to as single-sided belt and double-sided belt for short. According to the arrangement of teeth, the double-sided belt is divided into symmetrical tooth type (code da) and staggered tooth type (code dB).
2. Spiral tooth synchronous belt
Except that the tooth shape of the spiral tooth synchronous belt is curved, its structure is basically the same as that of the trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt. The pitch of the belt is the same, and its tooth height, tooth root thickness and tooth root fillet radius are larger than those of the trapezoidal tooth.
After the belt teeth are loaded, the stress distribution is good, which smoothes the stress concentration of the tooth root and improves the bearing capacity of the teeth. Therefore, the arc tooth synchronous belt transmits more power than the trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt, and can prevent tooth interference in the meshing process.
The arc tooth synchronous belt has good wear resistance, low noise and no lubrication. It can be used in the harsh environment with dust. It has been widely used in food, automobile, textile, pharmaceutical, printing, papermaking and other industries.
